Diaper Case is finished

The Diaper Case is complete. I made the pattern a little smaller because we put wipes in a ziplock rather than in a hard case (we use them so infrequently that they would dry out, plus it is way smaller). I also used a snap instead of velcro. It took a little less than an hour, most of which was setting up and putting away time. And picking the button. I really love the little strawberries.
I pulled a bunch more fabric from the boxes and put it in the laundry bin so that I can make more soon. We need another for the cloth diaper that lives in the diaper bag and we have lots of babies coming in my group of friends in the next couple of months.

Diaper Case

The other project I am slowly working on is a diaper case for Monkey's back up diaper and wipes in the diaper bag. I want something nicer than the ziplock bag an found this pattern poking around online (http://www.sleepingbaby.net/jan/Baby/dipecase.html). I am thinking strawberry print with a striped lining. I have no velcro though so it may end up with a snap unless it simmers until the next trip to the fabric store.

Green Subway Quilt

I got a haul of fabric from a yard sale in the fall, as much as I could carry home, which included a lot of greens. I enjoyed making Monkey's baby quilt and want to make more. So naturally I am thinking a green quilt. I am not sure where I came up with the idea, but the plan is to make it with subway blocks like subway tiles. I found some neat Pucci-esq green flannel for the backing. The trouble is Monkey. 12 month old babies are not conductive to quilt making. So I am working in tiny steps. Today is Laundry day, so today we washed the fabric.
